ONE TEAM ONE DREAM

The European Athletics Team Championships 1st Division will be the most important event of the European outdoor season in 2025. It will take place in Madrid, the capital of Spain, where the best 16 countries of the continent will clash in a three-day competition from 27-29 June at the Vallehermoso Stadium and its iconic green track.

Reigning champions Italy will defend the title conquered in Silesia two years ago ahead of hosts Spain and former champions Poland and Germany. The 2025 edition will be the first time Spain has held the biennial event since the European Athletics Team Championship was created in 2009. Although Madrid (1996) and Malaga (2006) both hosted the European Cup, the previous incarnation of Europe’s biggest team competition for Member Federations.
